our story

born from the wild: the tesapaws story

tesapaws was born in the Pacific Northwest, where the rugged coastline meets the Cascade mountain range, the spirit of adventure is woven into the very fabric of the land. Not in a sterile boardroom, but on the open road, amidst the mud, snow, and boundless possibilities of a Tesla road trip gone slightly sideways.

the spark: a ski trip and a soggy cargo liner

Picture this: February 2023, a brand-new Tesla Model Y, a couple of excited pups, and a snowy journey to Park City, Utah. We were ready for anything…except for the epic fail of our "premium" cargo liner. It shifted, it bunched, it soaked up muddy paw prints like a sponge, and its zippers jammed before we even hit the state line.

Frustration? You bet. But more than that, it was a wake-up call.

We realized Tesla owners – folks (like us) who invest in cutting-edge tech and design – deserved gear that lived up to their ride. Gear that was as tough, stylish, and as eco-conscious as the Tesla itself. Gear that would outlast their Tesla.

the turning point: from frustration to innovation

That ski trip didn’t just leave us with a messy car; it lit a fire. We couldn’t shake the idea that there had to be a better way. So, we did what any adventurer worth their salt would do: we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

Countless trips over Highway 17, from our home in Mountain View to the surf town of Santa Cruz, fueled our collaboration and drive to create something exceptional. We teamed up with the technical softgoods prototyping specialists at High Fidelity Sewing in Santa Cruz, CA and for eight months obsessed over every detail, testing and refining until we had something truly exceptional.

The result? A cargo liner that doesn’t just meet the Tesla standard, it sets a new one.

the tesapaws difference: high-performance gear built to last

Our cargo liners are handcrafted in Oregon, using the most performant, eco-friendly materials - premium silicone that shrugs off spills, high-performance foam that cushions your cargo, marine-grade binding that's built to last, and a burly nylon base from recycled firehose. No matter how epic the journey, your Tesla stays protected.

But it’s not just about toughness. tesapaws liners are designed to look as good as they perform. Designed from materials that perfectly match your Tesla's interior - a sleek, modern aesthetic that complements your ride.
